Mr. Cahn heads Cahn Medical Ventures. Currently, he is a board observer of TyRx Pharma, Inc., a surgical site infection control company; board chairman of MicroMRI, Inc., an MRI-based imaging company focused on osteoporosis assessment; board observer of Cylex, Inc., a predictive medicine company focused on immune-suppressed patients; a company with hyperfusion therapy for sepsis and kidney disease and CEO of Calretex, LLC, a wound management company.
Previously, he was Senior Vice President at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., Inc., an independent research and management company purchased by Alliance Capital Management in 2000. On the board of directors, Mr. Cahn served as senior managing director of the research business after being director of research and a securities analyst.
In addition to the boards of companies invested in by CMV, Mr. Cahn serves on the advisory board of the Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. Center on Leadership and Ethics at the Columbia Business School, and the board of CEI-PEA (Center for Educational Innovation – Public Education Association). He also chairs the board of the Cahn Fellows Program for Distinguished New York City Principals at Teachers College, Columbia University.
Mr. Cahn graduated from Washington and Lee University and holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University.

Dr. Wilkins provides consulting advice to established and start-up healthcare companies, and to investors in the lifesciences area, focusing on market assessment and business development (details at www.robert-wilkins.com). He practiced anesthesia and critical care medicine for 10 years and is widely published on the management of shock and other topics. In 1991 he joined Abbott Laboratories as medical director in the Hospital Products Division, with key roles in the development of new drugs and medical devices. In 1996 he became Director of Marketing for the Abbott HealthSystems Division, leading a team responsible for marketing of pharmaceutical, device, nutritional and diagnostic products to the top 70 U.S. health systems.
Dr. Wilkins left Abbott in 1999 to join Baxter Healthcare’s anesthesia group as director of business development and, in late 2000, became chief scientific officer and vice president of marketing of Physiometrix, a start-up medical device company. He has been a Venture Partner at Battelle Ventures, and has served on the Boards of Endovalve Inc. and NellOne Therapeutics Inc.
Bob received his MBChB from the University of Manchester, England, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
